Rwanda Project USVI will be accepting 16 students to travel to Rwanda in July 2010. The students will be accompanied by four chaperones as well as Rwandan tour operators. The applications will be received until January 15, 2010.

Requirements
Only high schools students who are at least 16 years old will be eligible for the trip, which includes any student who will be 16 years old by July 1, 2009.
The students will be required to travel with $1200 for food and incidentals. This does not include $600 for gorilla permits or other tours. The $1200 for food and incidentals is required and cannot be obtained through donations from community donors or benevolent organizations such as Rotary or Lions or community foundations.
Rwanda Project USVI is dependent upon those donors for other expenses and project costs. We ask students to raise money through jobs, their own fund raising events, church groups or parental support only.
The required documents are listed below.
- Completed application.
- 300 - 500 word essay: "Why I want to go to Rwanda to do community service work."
- Parent/Guardian permission slip.
- Two letters of reference (teacher, pastor, principal, advisor, neighbor, community leader).
- Financial information form.

All the necessary documents listed above must be received by January 15, 2010 . Any applications received that do not have all the required forms mentioned above will be eliminated. The applicant will not be notified.
